Supercomputing in 30"

HPC is high performance computing, also known as supercomputing. Companies, governments and academics sometimes require computers with tremendous power to perform calculations with lots of steps and to run accurate simulations of complex natural phenomena.

HPC is used in everything from figuring out how molecules interact on minute scales, to seeing how galaxies and star clusters interact on huge scales. Simulations can include everything from the weather to aerospace dynamics for aircraft design to how medicines interact with tissues.
